Using Adobe InDesign

Using “Save as IDML” to reset your InDesign file and reduce errors

Occasionally an InDesign file may become corrupted or experience performance issues.

Often this is caused by an issue with a placed image or a font, causing issues that tend to hang around even after InDesign is restarted.

Choosing “Save as” and then saving the file as an IDML (InDesign Markup Language file) completely resets the internal workings of your file, and often fixes many performance issues along the way.
